Hot!!!!! New!!!!

The Dear Leader has been talking to a Canadian photographer member who has been asked for a book cover photograph. He wants to see if the rest of us can help, and he tells us it’s a well paid job — the successful photographer will receive something in the region of £500 / €750 / $1000, even after our friend takes his commission. This request is a cover image in the "noir" style such as the one on the cover of "The Alienist" by Caleb Carr. (You can see this cover by searching on an online bookshop. Do NOT copy this image slavishly). What he requires for this murder mystery is a timeless image that has the feeling of early 1900s urban England, that is, somewhat spooky — such as a man under a lamplight at night on a cobblestone street, with some of the skyline or cityscape at dusk. “Tough enough,” he asks? Yes, but “it pays enough to go around.” He wants something that is demanding, moody, dark and thematically challenging. Upload data: 1. DEADLINE: Wednesday 20th June 2007; 10:00 GMT 2.
