Lifetime Networks Invites Entries for Every Woman's Film Competition

To nurture the next generation of great women filmmakers, the Lifetime Movie
Network, the Hollywood Reporter, New York Women in Film & Television, the
Paley Center for Media, the William Morris Agency, and Women in Film Los
Angeles are launching the second annual Every Woman's Film Competition,
presented by the Lifetime Movie Network.

The competition is open to all women who are legal U.S. residents and who,
as of the date of entry, are at least 18 years of age. Competition entrants
will produce short films of three to five minutes in length.

First- and second-place winners, as well as three honorable mentions, will
be selected. In addition, the LMN.tv audience will have a chance to vote
online for their favorite film and determine the selection of a special
LMN.tv Audience Winner. The judge-selected first- and second-place winners
will receive $5,000 and $2,500, respectively, to advance their film projects
as well as exposure on Lifetime Movie Network and LMN.tv and trips to both
the Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment Breakfast and the Hamptons
International Film Festival, where they will be featured guests. The three
honorable mention recipients, as well as the favorite filmmaker chosen by
the LMN.tv audience, will win $1,000 each.

Free Contemporary Dance Concert at Fresno State May 11th at 7 p.m.

(Fresno, Ca) ? Associated Students Inc. and the Fresno State Tap Tones are pleased to
announce the Kybele Dance Theater of Los Angles will be performing a contemporary Dance
Concert at 7 p.m. at the Satellite Student Union on May 11th. Relaxed parking is available
nearby.

This ASI sponsored event is available as a free concert event.

Kybele Dance Theater, founded in 2003 by Seda Aybay, is a contemporary dance company
comprised of 8 dancers. The unique signature of the pieces encompasses stories that are
communicated through the living art form of dance.

The athletic, strength and stamina-requiring movement vocabulary is created by fusing
together elements of theatrical, modern, and different ethnic dance forms. The pieces are
often enhanced with props such as fans, scarves and folding chairs and are performed to
music that combines ethnic with modern melodies.

"Plunging squats, deeply arching backs and lush turns?"
By Claudia La Rocco, New York Times

Fresno State Tap Tones faculty advisor Kenneth Balint recommends taking a look at this
cutting edge post-modern dance group, ?It will be a exciting and entertaining evening of
dance.
