Subject: Need Videographer for Photo Metadata events in LA, SF

Hi all,

I'm working on several fronts to help the Stock Artists Alliance
administer an award from the Library of Congress to study and educate
folks about Photo Metadata - important and empowering information
embedded in digital image files. It's an interesting project we all
should check out. And you can do so at a series of FREE seminars
scheduled around the country in coming weeks and months, including two
next week in Texas. Learn more about both the events and photo
metadata at: http://photometadata.org

THE JOB

Several of the seminars include expert panels we want to record in
video and audio. To that end, we need local videographers for June
events in Los Angeles and San Francisco. If contracted for either
event, you will record the seminar and panel presentations, as
directed, and briefly interview panelists during breaks or afterward.
You should be set up before 5 p.m., and your gear will likely be
packed by around 10 p.m. We're seeking 16:9, HD format, 720 pixels
deep, at least, with delivery of unedited Quicktime files.
Supplementary lighting may be needed, but the videographer will have
to judge that based on the specific location, much as he/she would
with ENG. The video will be edited and packaged for future educational
use, most likely on the PhotoMetadata website, but possibly for other
presentations.

The Los Angeles event is set for June 18. The San Francisco event will
be set for some point during the same week, with an exact date due
shortly. We do not need videographers for our other events.

We seek bids that consider the costs of providing the service, as well
as the opportunity to help photography professionals - and archivists
- for years to come. This is a non-profit, educational effort to
bolster our profession and all who work with our images. All involved
are working for free or cheap, and we need to stretch our limited
budget. But we do compensate our team.

Please contact me directly with questions and/or bids.

mention the events and website are FREE?
