Subject: Glam Slam: Bag Week - Backpack Essentials!

If I had to guess, I would say rich "Gossip Girl" Blair Waldorf's backpack is probably Chanel. Her pens are by Tiffany, her agenda by Smythson and she carries the brand new IPhone. OMG! High school was never that high class for me and let's face it, that's not how most teens roll. We asked Seventeen Magazine (which I devoured religiously when I was a teen!) to give us their top five picks for Backpack Must-Haves:

1. MAKEUP MUST
Mark Flip For It in Urban Neutrals: It has 2 lip colors, 2 lip glosses, 2 eye shadows and 1 blush-all you'd need in one tiny case!
$20, www.meetmark.com

2. FRESH AS A FLOWER
Daisy Marc Jacobs Solid Perfume Pendant: Looks like jewelry (you can pin it to your backpack), smells like heaven. A major mid-class pick-me-up.
$40 at department stores.

3. HEAD GEAR
Slouchy knit beret: The perfect, chic thing to save you from a bad hair day. CutesyGirl, $6, www.cutesygirl.com

4. CLEAN UP YOUR ACT
Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Concealer: When an annoying zit pops up during the day, you can cover and treat it at the same time. It's a small little tube that looks like a pen. $14 at department stores.

5. NOW HEAR THIS!
Budget-Friendly MP3 Player: Teeny and cute-and totally affordable! 1 GB MP3 Player, $20, www.jcp.com

ON A TOTALLY DIFFERENT NOTEā€¦..
I saw "The September Issue" at a screening last night. Sooooo good. Grace Coddington is my new hero. Wow! Anna Wintour nails it when she calls Grace "genius." She really is. And yeah- what everybody is saying is true- Grace steals the movie. A definite "See it."
