Steve McCurry was handed the last roll of Kodachrome produced by Kodak and told to go shoot it:

What would you shoot on the last roll?
 
McCurry said he used a digital camera to check his exposures before committing the Kodachrome. Would be a real bummer to set you ISO wrong or have the back come upon on that roll.
