I'd mentioned the Underground Garden art project being unveiled at

Audie's Olympic (formerly Club Fred) on

Saturday, April 24th,

but had I mentioned the music?

It is, after all, a CD release party,,

and besides my band Blake Jones & the Trike Shop playing their new music

from the new CD (titled "The Underground Garden"),

there are scads of musical guest stars: Dylan Tidyman-Jones (from Wheels of Fortune), George Rotalo (one of my fave local songwriters), Andrew Bunnell (ex of Pinkeye), perHAPS Lisa Kao (story too long to tell here!), Joy Mohler (of Suicide Lounge), Pieter Moerdyk (and his ukelele), Mallory Moad, Ron 'Doc' Morse, Poplord...the list goes on and on.

I hope you can come out (starts at 9pm sharp!) and enjoy (only a $3 dollar donation to cover costs) FOOD, MUSIC, ART, -----our local "underground garden"-----see you Saturday!!

I would just like to thank Lori Granger for her teaching of mindfulness tecniques and for everything she offers our community.? I have participated in her MBSR course, her weekly meditation sessions and her recent workshop on Practice Happiness.?I found the?MBSR course?to be?a very useful?introduction into the concepts behind mindfulness and helped to open the door for me to explore the many benefits of meditation.?I have continued to participate in weekly?drop-in meditations which has been?an important?way for me to put into practice the concepts?learned from the class.? We tend to forget what we don't practice regularly and I have found the guided meditations provided by Lori to be?inspirational?and invaluable to my learning process.? As someone new to mindfulness, the actual practice of meditation can be tedious and uncertain and?I feel the weekly guidance provided?the support I needed.? Recently, I participated in the first session
of Practice Happiness Workshop.? The workshop was an insightful experience for me, giving me another perspective on how I see things and the endless commentary of my?thought processes.?Yet again,?I feel blessed to have the opportunity to learn from Lori and experienced another level of my development on my path to enlightenment...or wherever this takes me. ?Lori has been an excellent resource and made recommendations for additional reading materials and meditation groups that I have found helpful and instrumental in my learning experience.? I am so grateful for the services and teaching that she is providing.? I have recommended her courses to many of my friends and family.?
