Theme Intimate Landscape. Landscapes conjure images of vast, sweeping scenes, but the details captured by a photograph can turn a seemingly impersonal setting into an intimate story. It's up to the artist to define what constitutes an intimate landscape, be it representational, non-representational, urban, suburban or rural.

Give $2 to help launch this new project

We're using an online company called Kickstarter, which provides a platform for real people to do something they love, something fun, and something original. The projects unfold through blog posts, pictures, and videos as people bring their ideas to life.

We've created a 2 minute video that fully explains the Kickstarter campaign. Have a look.

The photographs for the first book have been chosen. We had just over 1500 images submitted by 290 photographers from 22 countries and 33 states. You can view the images here. The writers are now submitting their interpretations.

If you're interested in being part of something original and creative, we'd appreciate if you'd be one of our backers. Every Kickstarter project must be fully funded before its time expires (25 days left) or no money changes hands. So every little bit helps. Give $2 to help fund a collaboration of photographers and writers that has never been done before.

Another discouraging moment in police/press relations.
